Frequent live collaborators Ben Bix (Meltybrains?) and Feather have teamed up on a new six-track EP on Bodytonic.

It’s not the first time the pair have released something together – their last recorded output was 2013.

‘Thirsty’ is the the fifth track from the EP, a slow-building track that builds from a buzzing synth rhythm and yawning notes to take on the expressive vocals of the Sierra Leonean Irish singer to create a superb slice of foreboding electronic soul.

Bodytonic have more releases lined up for 2017. This one is out this month on 12″ and digital on March 17th.

Ben Bix is a singer, musician and producer who also plays in Dublin band Meltybrains? and runs the net label iH! Audio. In August he released an album of song-lead soundscapes on Psychonavigation Records called All Of The Variations At Once.

From that album, ‘Meiji Cloud’ is a twisted orchestral soundscape that has been given the video treatment by Kevin Freeney (Clu) and Kemperman. The clip was shot in Denmark and suits the song’s discombobulating vibe.
