  1. I think it’s a really strong line-up, but this is the first year I’m definitely going so I was always going to be announced. Of the 28 bands announced I want to see about 14, so think that’s a pretty good hit rate. And I love (LOVE!!!) Grizzly Bear, so it certainly looks pretty good to me. And assume it will only get better too.

  2. The Cure will be interesting. Their last few shows were about 45+ songs long and the encores were packed with hits. But they’ve been known to knock out b-sides and rarities for almost entire shows. Hope it’ll be a crowd pleaser!

  3. sigur ros will be great … again. can’t say its an exciting line up, still haven’t seen metronomy but it sounds like there live shows are seriously weak. alot of these bands have made it over before, done the picnic or equally large shows, so it sort of seems like lazy line-up. christy moore AT the picnic WILL be epic. i wonder what effect the missing oxegen will have, i wonder is this part of a master plan? grizzely bear, the xx, metronomy, the horrors, elbow would be a big draw for me, but its nothing exciting. still not sold on azealia banks either, 212 was fucking solid, but still only one song.  i fucking love the picnic, and i will never bitch about having such an incredible festival on my doorstep, but like a proud parent i just want it to be the best festival it can be! my wishlist to be added to line up would include – chairlift, st vincent, the cast of portlandia, david bowie, leila, philip glass, schoolboy q, future islands and whitney houston
