Fontaines D.C.’s A Hero’s Death nominated for a Grammy
The nominations for the 2021 Grammys were announced yesterday and among the list for shortlisted rock albums was the Irish band Fontaines D.C. and their second album A Hero’s Death, where it was listed alongside Michael Kiwanuka, Sturgill Simpson, The Strokes and Grace Potter.
Other nominations of interest? Phoebe Bridgers ‘Kyoto’ is up for Best rock song and the album Punisher is up for Best Alternative Music Album. Album of the Year nominations include Haim’s Women in Music Pt. III, Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia and Taylor Swift’s Folklore.
Best Dance/Electronic Album nominees include Arca, Disclosure, Kaytranada, Madeon and Baauer.
All six of the Best Rock Performance nominees are women – Fiona Apple, Big Thief, Phoebe Bridgers , HAIM, Brittany Howard and Grace Potter.
Record of the Year includes nominations for Dua Lipa, Megan Thee Stallion, Beyoncé, DaBaby and Billie Eilish.
