I gave a talk last night about Music In The Digital Age for Budweiser’s Future Sounds project and one of the things I talked about was using cheap digital tools to your advantage. When it comes to music videos, they don’t have to cost the world and a bit of ingenuity goes a long way. The video for alt-rock Dublin band Clockwork Noise’s ‘The Tourist’ is a good example. Shot through the use of a head-mounted camera or a goPro-style device, it features underwater and band performance shots. Nice and simple, it gives an overall good impression of the band’s song.

Great talk last night, its a great fillip for bands to get information like that! A/V context is so important….it can show the creativity of a band in other ways besides the songs. Clockwork Noise has a new fan!
