#CorkLovesMusic 3 announced, line-up revealed
#CorkLovesMusic, in association with First Music Contact (FMC) and Cork Midsummer Festival, presents #AllAboutLive, the third in a series of talk and performance events, taking place throughout the year.
On the afternoon of the 22nd, Bunker Vinyl & Studio presents one-on-one music clinics with Angela Dorgan, CEO of First Music Contact (Hard Working Class Heroes, Music in Ireland). Open to the public, places strictly limited, application by email: [email protected]
On the evening of the 22nd, on stage at the Poor Relation on Parnell Place, CorkLovesMusic discusses everything to do with going live – getting booked, playing out, building yourself up, and getting ready for touring and the festival circuit.
Speaking will be newly-announced additions Simon Merriman (Aiken Promotions) and Louise Tangney (Managing Director, Vantastival). They join Cork-based independent tour booker Emma Kelly (Merakindie) and tour manager/artist liaison Jonathan Pearson (Crash Ensemble), announced on local social media last week.
They’ll be joined onstage by guest performers Saint Caoilian (just off his new E.P.), Outsider Y.P. (new album streaming now), and Gadget and the Cloud (new E.P. this summer).
Free tickets available here, places are limited.
The first of an ongoing series of videos from the talks, uploaded every Monday evening, is streaming below: freelance arts journalist Ellie O’Byrne discusses the changing relationship between music and media.
