Former Throwing Muses’ musician Kristin Hersh is to play a solo Irish tour that goes to Spirit Store, Dundalk on November 1st, to Pavilion Theatre, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin on November 2nd, The Triskel Cork on November 3rd (€22), Roisin Dubh, Galway on November 4th (€23) and Dolan’s, Limerick (€24) on November 5th. Tickets via Ticketmaster or venues.


Kiasmos play a DJ Set at Wah Wah Club / The Grand Social next Saturday night Oct 29th.


Dublin’s newest venue The Bowery in Rathmines opened its doors this weekend (it’s a lovely spot), and Badly Drawn Boy is the first of the new announcements with his first Dublin show in 10 years. The date is Sunday 18 December and tickets for the show priced from €22.90 plus booking free are on sale Friday 21 October available from Ticketmaster outlets and online at Ticketmaster.ie and the venue website.

A new indie club SOMA hits Whelan’s from next Thursday night and features live sets from Thumper, WOLFF and a DJ set from residents Otherkin. It’s free in.


Kilkenny’s multi-instrumentalist R.S.A.G. has lined up a post-Christmas show at The Sound House (in The Wiley Fox) on Eden Quay on December 28th.
Support on the night is fellow Kilkenny man The Kilo 1977. Early bird tickets go on sale this Friday (€10) at 10am. General (€15). Doors 11pm ’til 3am.

RSAG Broken State

Hamilton Leithauser (The Walkmen) + Rostam (Vampire Weekend) recently made an album together and now Leithauser will be touring it with a group that includesStephen Patterson (Drums), and Gregory Roberts (Bass) with occasionally, Rostam. His tour hits The Workman’s Club, Dublin on 12 March 2017. Tickets priced €22 + fees on sale Friday through Ticketmaster.

As part of the Bram Stoker Festival next week, A Breaking Tunes Music trail featuring bands like Participant, Cult Called Man, Basciville, New Pope, Exploding Eyes and more are playing in cafés and shops across town over two days.
