Lisa Hannigan takes a smooth R&B turn with London’s R I T U A L
As fans of Lisa Hannigan will know, the lady’s breath-filled voice is one of her main draws. While she’s no stranger to collaboration having started her career with Damien Rice and many others, we’ve never heard her singing over some smooth electronic R&B, which her tones are very suited to.
R I T U A L (yeah those spaces are intentional), are a three-piece band from London who Hannigan joins on their new single ‘Josephine’, a gossamer track which is pitched somewhere between the current trend for electronic R&B (Wet / Woman’s Hour) and smooth emotion like Rhye and London Grammar).
More from R I T U A L, a collaboration with Frances.
