Bucking the trend of closures of record shops around Ireland, UK independent entertainment retailer Head today announced they will be opening their first Irish store in Liffey Valley Shopping Centre.
The shop opens tomorrow Saturday 22nd October, offering vinyl, CD, DVD, games, headphones and turntables. Head says it stocks “the latest chart releases along with old school classics” totally 17,000 titles.
Head plans to host live in-store performances in its Liffey Valley store,the first of which takes place Saturday October 29th at 2pm with Declan O’Rourke accompanied by a string quartet to promote his new album.
Head currently runs 4 stores in the UK (down from 10 a few years ago): Belfast, Bromley, Cardiff and Leamington Spa. Their Belfast store has a lot of second hand 7″ vinyl.
