Annie Clark has announced that the sixth St. Vincent album Daddy’s Home, the followup to the razor-sharp MASSEDUCTION.

By contrast, Daddy’s Home, produced once again with Jack Antonoff, sounds like it’s going to switch things up, if first single and the themes around the record follow through with Annie embodying the character Candy Darling.

‘Pay Your Way In Pain’ is a looser sound for Clark, a funk-indebted song with retro leanings clashing with Clark’s synth tones and domineering voice.

Watch the video for ‘Pay Your Way In Pain’ directed by Bill Benz (who is also director of the forthcoming The Nowhere Inn, co-written by and starring St. Vincent).
