As part of the This is Wanted weekender this weekend, Maximum Joy are having a special show in the Sugar Club on Saturday with the debut Irish performance from James Chance and Les Contortions with support from Cap Pas Cap. Chance is considered a New York No Wave legend who inspired those who came after him such as Sonic Youth, The Rapture and DFA.
Tickets to catch his unique show of jazzy-punk stylings are €20 but I have two +1 passes to the gig on Saturday (thanks to Darren from Maximum Joy). The first two people to leave a comment with words “GIMME A CHANCE” gets tickets to the show.
