You can’t go to a gig yet but you can apparently go to a Bon Jovi drive-in concert screening
While we wait for clarification around live events, New Jersey’s finest Bon Jovi are seemingly above any jurisdiction in Ireland with the announcement that they will be screening a live concert drive-in style at Leopardstown Racecourse in Dublin, Slane Castle in Meath and Cork Racecourse in Cork.
The drive-in events are taking place on May 22nd this year with 250 tickets per screening being made available. Each €55 ticket admits a car and up to six people, and are on sale from April 28th at 5pm.
This week’s lifting of restrictions means that “outdoor visitor attractions” are allowed now so it seems will these will go ahead unlike the Drive-In gigs that were cancelled last year? Although the guidelines also says “No organised outdoor gatherings should take place,” so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
[Narrator voice] Bon Jovi’s planned Irish screenings truly are Livin’ on a Prayer.
The events are being organised locally here by Retro Movie Screenings with Encore Live as the international partner.
Retro Movie Screenings look to have a full schedule of film screenings lined up, starting this week.
Yet the events were widely reported by Irish media outlets like it was all as accurate as Bono getting beaten by Orangemen on the regular as a youth.
Our 1st drive-in concert is 5/22! One night only!
