Aby Coulibaly returns today with the new song ‘Weekdays’
The Dublin artist whose music works between R&B, neo-soul and hip-hop, Aby Coulibaly has shared her new song ‘Weekdays’, a tune released the Irish collective Chamomile Club (Monjola, Aby and Moyo) and AMF Records (Loyle Carner, Greentea Peng, Olivia Dean).
The 23-year-old singer-songwriter Coulibaly’s latest keeps that soft glow touch with throwback to ’90s R&B vibe on ‘Weekdays’ on a love-melted single about being in a “situationship”.
“Weekdays is about being so crazy about someone that you’re finding it hard to hold back your feelings. I’ve always been someone that gives my all or nothing to relationships so this song is a playful exaggerated expression of that.”
The Dublin-based singer burst onto the scene in 2020 with her greatly-received debut single ‘Taurus’, quickly racking up 2.6 million streams, which was followed by singles like ‘Long Nights’ ‘Where u at’, ‘Chamomile Tea’ & ‘On My Ones’.
