The Dublin-based indie rock band have released their first album in six years.

The band’s last album was 2019’s High Time, which featured singles with videos starring now Irish food writer influencer Sian Conway.

High Time itself was the first album the band released in six years previous to that with the release of 2013’s Respect which was itself a surprise release and featured the bonafide all-timer single ‘2025’ with the video featuring the Gleeson Brothers.

There were once-off singles in the meantime like 2020’s ‘Radiation Vibes’ and an abortion charity compilation in 2017 also featuring Mac DeMarco and Just Mustard.

New album Ossory Road meanwhile was made by a four-piece – original trio Roy Duffy (guitar and vocals), Ian McFarlane (bass, backing vocals, recording, mixing – Ian also worked integrally on the Maykay record this year), Ruan Van Vliet (drums) and the Ruadhan O’Meara (synthesizers and guitars – also of Magic Pockets / No Spill Blood) who joined around the time of the last record.

Ossory Road features 12 tracks of the familiar melodic indie power pop rock of the band, and features tracks ‘Doublin’, ‘Wild Honey’, ‘Hold My Beer’ and ‘What Happened’.

It was produced by Ian McFarlane (at Yellow Door Music Studios and Ian’s Place 2023 – 2025) and mixed by Jamie Hyland.

It’s on Bandcamp.
